Santa Match is a fun, Christmas-themed game that combines two classic matching styles in one festive package! How to play: On the welcome screen, choose your game mode to begin. Your high scores for each mode are automatically saved and displayed below the respective buttons on the welcome screen.
Controls: On desktop, use your mouse to left-click and select tiles. On touchscreen devices, tap the screen with your fingers to make your selections.
Gameplay: Your goal is to clear groups of two or more matching tiles from the grid before the timer runs out. Removing larger groups of three or more tiles will give you extra playing time. Keep clearing tiles to continue the game.
There are two game modes to choose from. In the Breaker mode, you remove groups of matching tiles by selecting any tile within the group, which automatically selects all connected tiles. This mode is easier for achieving higher scores as you need only select one tile from a set. In the Connect 3 mode, you must connect at least three adjacent matching tiles by drawing a line horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The lines can turn any number of times, and you must match at least three tiles to score.
Points are awarded based on the number of tiles removed. In Breaker mode, each tile is worth 10 points, with a minimum of 20 points per move. In Connect 3 mode, the score is calculated by squaring the number of tiles matched, so matching three tiles scores 9 points, while matching eight tiles scores 64 points (8 x 8).
