Description:
Classic Chess is a strategic two player board game played on an 8 by 8 grid with 64 squares. Each player begins with 16 pieces, including a king, queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops, and eight pawns. The objective is to checkmate the opponent’s king by putting it in a position where it cannot escape capture.
You can play against artificial intelligence, challenge another player on the same device, or compete online in multiplayer mode. The game also allows you to watch live matches as a spectator and suggest moves by placing them on the board.
Instructions:
Classic Chess is played with sixteen pieces per player, consisting of six different types, each with unique movement rules.
Piece Movements:
King – Moves one square in any direction but cannot move into a square under attack.
Queen – Moves any number of squares in any direction (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally).
Rook – Moves any number of squares in a straight line, either horizontally or vertically, as long as no pieces block its path.
Bishop – Moves any number of squares diagonally, provided no pieces are in the way.
Knight – Moves in an "L" shape, either two squares in one direction and then one perpendicular square or vice versa. It is the only piece that can jump over others.
Pawn – Moves forward one square at a time, except when capturing, where it moves diagonally forward one square.
Objective:
The goal is to checkmate the opponent’s king, placing it in a position where capture is unavoidable and no legal moves remain to escape.
